LEADERSHIP CATTARAUGUS CLASS OF 2010 LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES During the Opening Retreat, in a discussion led by Dan Antonioli and Jodi Fuller (Class of 2006 and Board and Curriculum Committee Members), the Class of 2010 was asked to develop a list of those attributes they considered essential to leadership. After a brain storming session that simply listed these variables, the Class then prioritized the list focusing on those characteristics they considered essential to being an effective leader. They include: Ø Integrity Ø Ability to Communicate Ø Vision Ø Adaptability Ø Respect Ø Empowering others Ø Collaborative Ø Passion The full list included the following attributes: Ø Integrity Ø Vision Ø The ability to communicate Ø Adaptability Ø Mentoring / Developing Others Ø Inspirational Ø Respect – the ability to command Ø Patience Ø Empowering others to act Ø Risk Taking Ø Approachable Ø Collaborative Ø Foresight Ø Passion Ø Ability to admit mistakes What leadership skills do you have?
